YES, DSA HAD TO RAISE DUES FOR 2022.
(First time since 2004)

At Delta Sailing Association’s annual meeting last fall some stark budget facts were laid before members. The tornado of January 2020 destroyed several boats and we lost those owners as members. This drop in membership in 2020 and 2021 made it necessary to raise dues for the first time in 18 years.

The representative group of members at the meeting were eager to see DSA continue on a strong footing and voiced support of the new dues rate for 2022. Dues for basic membership will now be $300 per calendar year with a $100 surcharge for boats 20’ or longer or 1,000 lbs or more. Each additional hull owned by a member will now be charged $50. The $25 early payment deduction still applies. DSA had kept its due static since 2004 and these new rates still provide one of the most cost effective ways for local sailors to store and use their boats.

The desire to keep our unique and affordable facility going has been demonstrated in many ways in the past two years. Not only do we need members to come out and sail, but we also need to spread the word about sailing at DSA on Arkabutla Lake.
