The ranger staff at Arkabutla Lake is conducting the Spirit of America Youth Boating Education program at Hernando Point for 7th & 8th graders from local schools. Over the next four Saturdays the students will learn the proper and safe way to operate several different types of boats to include powerboats, jon boats, personal water craft, sailboats, canoes and kayaks. If any of the DSA members would like to help teach the sailing lessons, we could certainly use the help.
